Federal Government Programs
Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is available to eligible persons with disabilities. The DTC reduces the amount of tax owed by a person to the government. An individual may apply for the DTC by completing form T2201, which can be found on the Canada Revenue Agency website: www.cra.gc.ca
Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a long-term savings plan that is designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families. RDSP may be open by an individual who qualifies for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). For those 49 years of age and under, the Government of Canada matches money $1000 for individuals living on a low income. An RDSP is an exempt asset under ODSP. Provincial Government Programs
Special Services at Home (SSAH) Helps families who are caring for a child under the age of 18 years with a child is not receiving support from a residential program (living in a group home). SSAH funds may be used for daily living skills. SSAH funding can also be used to purchase relief/respite support.

Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
Income Support: A provincial benefit that provides financial assistance for eligible adults (18 years and older )with disabilities who are in need. It is designed to assist with support, may also be eligible to receive other benefits and supports including health, drug, and dental coverage.
